Psychiatry is one workplace that does not refer people out when their discipline is not working. Even cancer doctors do that, they reluctantly but admirably, list alternatives.

Drugs are the assumption that trauma is limitless. They add their own unpredictability to behavior, later seen as signs of symptoms. Trauma is temporary, as a thunderstorm. Learning to help people through trauma, in their settings, guide with firm, prompt and gentle ways.
